The faculty of Physical Sciences departmental football match kicked off today with the department of Computer Science playing against the department of Statistics.
As expected, students in each department turned out in mass at the Franco football pitch to cheer their favourite players and department as the case may be.
The match ended on a 3 to 1 in favour of Computer Science, with the first goal few minutes into the match, and Statistics equalizing later. Then before the first half ended, computer Science went ahead to score another goal. The last goal was scored just before the second half of the game was rounded up.
Although, it got quite rainy during the game and supporters were somewhat drained, including yours sincerely :(, but we are grateful for a successful football match and we look forward to the next departmental match where the department of Chemistry plays against the department of Geology at 2:00pm prompt, then the department of Mathematics plays against SLT (Science Laboratory Technology) at 4:00pm prompt, same venue.
